R1 GOLDFIELDS ENGRAVING & KALGOORLIE TYREPOWER MAIDEN 1200m 1:12

The first on Mother’s Day has a field of eleven engaged. Lark Hill based trainer Darren Mc Aulliffe brings a host of gallopers to the KBRC today including FINAL OUTCOME (3). The three year old his having his fourth career start today after finishing second at the circuit last start. The gelding was switched out down the Charles Street side of the course and sustained a run from the 600m only to go down three quarters behind Artie’s Belle. ANISAU (5) will have his first run at the KBRC for Pinjarra based trainer Damian Miller. The Demerit gelding is first up coming into the race with a trial under his belt. The three year old will have the services of last year’s leading apprentice Clint Johnston-Porter who returns to Kalgoorlie for his first meeting for 2016. SUAVE SINGA (9) has drawn well for her assignment today. The Brian Kersley trained mare is well weighted with the claim of Sarah Bonner. MINCE PIE (12) can place at her first start with the right run. The Due Sasso filly performed fairly in a trial last week at the track.

R2 HYDAIR DRIVES MAIDEN 1600m 1:49

The second on the card sees ten maiden gallopers go over the mile. The Trevor Tasker trained MADAME CHOISIR (7) has placed at her past two starts at the track. The four year old is engaged in an even field where she will have the services of Kate Witten. The mare has hit the line determined in her past two starts. Brett Mathews will saddle up FIERACAVALLI (2) who finished second last start behind Ningbo. The Trade Fair gelding will continue to improve as he goes further into his preparation. Debutant TSA TSA BOOM (10) has drawn the inside for her first career start. The Alfred Nobel filly has had four trials to get ready for her first assignment. Trainer Darren Mc Aulliffe put the three year old over the 1450m at her most recent trial to prepare her for the mile first up. Stablemate TEMPLAR’S CROSS (6) will have his second start today. The three year old had his first start in November last year and was sent for a spell afterwards. The son of Blackfriars has had two trials coming into this preparation.

R3 JARAHFIRE DRILLING HANDICAP 1600m 2:23

A field of eight will take to the track in the third where the entire field is stepping up to the mile. The Paddy Bermingham Jnr trained BRECKENRIDGE (1) was forced to work hard early on at his last start. The four year old managed was gallant in the straight when boxing on strongly considering the torrid run he had. Eleven year old ZUBOYNE (3) rocketed to the line last start to finish second behind Haul In. The Neil Dellar trained galloper has not saluted for some time but his last run suggests he can go close. Last start maiden winner ARTIE’S BELLE (4) looks one that will perform well over the mile based on her last victory. KAMBALLIE (2) was slightly disappointing last start and can rebound.

R4 STATIONERY PLUS OFFICE CHOICE HANDICAP 1100m 3:00

The first leg of the Quaddie has plenty of speed engaged. Top weight MASTER WINKS (1) looks hard to beat coming off his most recent performance. The George Grljusich trained galloper was beaten narrowly behind Jingtang when first up. The Merv Dellar trained A BIT SKETCHY (6) is first up today. The Excellent Art mare has previously performed well first up. Tayla Stone’s claim will assist the four year old’s chances. Due Sasso mare YOUSHA DUA (5) has placed twice since resuming. Clint Johnston-Porter will ride the Dave Smith trained galloper who will have to overcome the outside barrier. Speedy type MU MU LAND (8) can fill a place with the right run.

R5 RSM AUSTRALIA HANDICAP 1400m 3:40

Ten gallopers will start from the 1400m in the fifth of the day. Trainer Paul Rowe looks to have ADRICAT (3) firing early on in his preparation. The flashy gelding will drop back shortly after the start and do his best work in the straight. Fellow eight year old RAFFERTY (2) has finished close up at his two runs to date this preparation. The More Than Ready gelding has won three from twelve over the 1400m. Chestnut five year old HAUL IN (7) produced a powerful burst in the straight last start when carrying 59kg to win over the 1400m. Casey Hunter will be aboard today who will ride at her minimum riding weight. SATURDAY SKIES (10) was impressive last start when placing over the 1200m.

R6 SKYRACING>TV PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES HEAT 1200m 4:15

The most competitive field to date for Season 2016 awaits punters in the sixth. The Jo Forrest trained DARK ROYALTY (4) was promising last start when resuming. The Blackfriars four year old picked up late in the run to the line to finish three quarters behind High Limit. Given it was eleven months since his last run you can expect further improvement today. DARADALE (7) defied all odds last start when winning coming from last at the 600m to defeat Butterfly Kiss. The Elvstroem gelding has won four from sixteen with all victories at the track. DEAR DOROTHY (12) has drawn ideally for trainer George Grljusich. The Flying Pegasus mare has been a good campaigner for connections in past seasons and her first up run suggests there will be more celebrations going forward. HIGH LIMIT (2) has won two from three since arriving in the Goldfields.

R7 LAKES ELECTRICAL DISTRIBUTORS HANDICAP 1300m 4:50

The last on the card has plenty of speed engaged. The Peter Fernie trained JINGTANG (1) is hard to go past after winning under tough circumstances last start. The Starcraft three year old covered additional ground throughout and was still to strong defeating Master Winks last start. Stablemate YEAH YEAH YEAH (2) was solid last start when finishing third. The Oratorio four year old was impeded up the straight. Locally based apprentice Casey Hunter will assist the galloper’s chances with her 2kg claim. Last start maiden winner MISS HARLEY QUINN (8) will be interesting to follow deeper into her preparation. The daughter of Modern Classic has had just the two starts and looked determined when winning last start. Dave Smith has taken over ATTAMOR (4) after Smith’s father Cliff had his last runner as a trainer last week. The gelding can place on his most recent effort.
