The first on Pink Day has a capacity field of maiden gallopers to go over the 1100m. The Peter Fernie trained MINCE PIE (9) was impressive last start when debuting. The daughter of Due Sasso burnt to the lead and kicked strongly at the top of the straight. The filly was headed late with connections settling for second. The drop back to the 1100m looks to suit. REVVING TO WIN (7) had her first start for Merv Dellar last start. The Charge Forward filly was having her first start locally. Randy Tan will be aboard the three year old who looks to have each way claims. Steve Wolfe brings a host of gallopers to the Goldfields today including HEY LISTEN (10). The Demerit filly debuted in January when fighting on doggedly. The Albany based galloper trialed well at Belmont Park six days ago. ORIENTAL CLASSIC (1) was impressive last start when having his first start for Paul Rowe. The four year old rocketed to the line last start after settling midfield. Expect Lisa Staples to settle the four year old rearwards once again with a wide draw.

The second on the card also has a capacity field engaged where most of the chances are towards the bottom of the page. The Joanne Forrest trained ANTALYA (10) was unlucky last start when she was held up at a vital stage. The grey eventually got out and charged to the line to go down a short half head. Willie White will be legged aboard today with the four year old dropping back to the 1400m. Master trainer Fred Kersley sends DANERIP’S GIRL (13) to the Goldfields for her fifteenth start. The Alfred Nobel filly boxed on strongly over the 1650m last start at Belmont Park. The filly will be aided by barrier four. Joanne Forrest has a strong hand in the event also having LA SEINE (7) engaged. The New Approach gelding proved he is tough last start when working outside the leader. Fiona bell will ride once again but will have to overcome a wide draw. TOUCH THE CLOUDS (14) had every chance last start but was outsprinted by the winner on the day. The performance was solid and the three year old can figure today.

R3 NOBLE – the society HANDICAP 1200m 1:57

The third on the card is over the 1200m where a mixture of form lines clash. David Harrison sends MISS KITWE (5) to Kalgoorlie for her sixteenth start. The well bred mare has won two from fifteen and she is coming off a solid third at Northam. Last start winner ATTAMOR (2) has drawn the inside today which will greatly help his chances. The Dave Smith trained gelding was strong last start when excelling in the late stages to win. Esperance galloper RIPPING YARN (7) has been consistent of late without winning. The Frizzell trained gelding finished close up behind Penalty Point last start. A BIT SKETCHY (9) has resumed well and has each way claims in the event.


R4 helloworld CRUISE & TRAVEL HANDICAP 1200m 2:37

The first leg of the Quaddie has ten to line up over the 1200. The Peter Fernie trained FAT AMY (6) has early speed and can burn across in this field. The Due Sasso mare kicked strongly last start at the top of the straight and was gunned down in the final stride. LORD BALTHAZAR (3) is coming off a close up fourth at Pinjarra Park. The Jim Taylor trained galloper has finished behind some handy types at his past few starts. PADDY (4) kicked on strongly last start when finishing fourth behind Bells Tower at Northam. The form line reads well for this event combined with the fact that he has won over 1200m before. BUTTERFLY KISS (10) has been knocking on the door and can figure.

A capacity field awaits punters in the fifth which is very open. The Peter Fernie trained YEAH YEAH YEAH (1) was unlucky last start when forced to tramp wide throughout. The gelding is well performed over the 1400m and can figure based on his performance two starts back behind his stablemate. ARTIE’S BELLE (9) has been racing well of late. The Artie Schiller filly was held up at a crucial stage last start when finishing fourth behind M’Lady Hallowell. BOHEMIAN GODDESS (10) was impressive last start when breaking maiden status. The step up to the 1400m looks a positive with her racing pattern last start. PLANET BLACK (4) deserves another chance after being unplaced last start.

The open event on the card is a sprint where the two at the top of the weight scale are resuming. The Peter Fernie trained CROWN SAGA (6) has finished second at her past two starts. She was gallant las start when trying to reel in the stable mate after giving him a start. Glenn Smith will ride the Bel Esprit mare from barrier three today. PROHURST EXPRESS (7) was an impressive last start winner. The five year old has turned the corner since arriving in the Goldfields. Casey Hunter’s claim will assist the five year old once again. DELRAY BEACH (1) is resuming today and is well performed first up. The Exceed and Excel gelding has won four at the track including one over the 1100m. OOSTERMAN (4) failed to finish off strongly last start and has been given a month away from the track. The Esperance galloper has won two at the KBRC this preparation.



The last on the card is over the mile and has a capacity field. Track specialist ALVARES (3) returns to the KBRC today looking for his fourth victory at the circuit. The Steve Wolfe trained galloper has had three weeks between runs coming off a close up fourth behind Potent Secret who was well performed throughout the Albany season. TAHGEO JAY (6) has been racing extremely well since resuming. The Vital Equine four year old had won two and placed once from four starts this preparation. Glen Smith will have to overcome an outside draw. JOSIE’S BABE (12) represents value in the field with a light weight. The Jayden Thomas trained mare finished close up behind Zuboyne last start over the mile and can perform well today. STANTON ABBEY (8) was dominant last start and has since been transferred to local trainer Brett Mathews.
