R1 RAILWAYS ’66 & ’06 PREMIERSHIP REUNION HANDICAP 1760m 12:50

The first on the Railways Footy Club Race Day has a small field of five engaged to go over the 1760m. The Paul Rowe trained ADRICAT (2) looks to get his best chance at winning a race this preparation today. The eight year old has placed at his past three starts including a narrow defeat behind Wonorg last start. Expect Lucy Warwick to let the Delago Brom gelding roll along behind the leaders. SATURDAY SKIES (3) looks the likely leader in the event with none of the remaining four having early speed. The six year old was slightly disappointing last start when beaten convincingly. Last year’s Tattersalls Club Cup Winner GET ROUND IT (1) will be suited by the step up in distance. The five year old plugged to the line last start over the mile when beaten four lengths. The Danehill Express gelding will have to lump 59kg today. Eleven year old ZUBOYNE (5) was well beaten last start over the 1760m but did race ungenerously on that occasion. The Neil Dellar trained galloper is suited over the middle distances winning all of his races beyond 1600m.

The War Pass mare has been ultra-consistent in maiden company around the metropolitan district. The four year old has accumulated six minor places from nine attempts. SCANDAVISTA (13) will have her first start at the track for trainer Neville Parnham today. The daughter of Scandal Keeper has finished close up at her past three starts. Expect Brad Parnham to settle her midfield. REVVING TO WIN (10) has been knocking on the door of late. The Merv Dellar trained filly has placed twice this preparation and has drawn ideally today for her sixth career start. The Charge Forward filly should sit just behind the speed. RHINO BUSTER (1) has been transferred to the stables of Robert Brown since his last run. The Danehill Express three year old will find this assignment easier today. R3 IAN DUNSTAN SMARTLINE PERSONAL ADVISORS HANDICAP 1200m 2:04

The third on the card has a compact field of seven where there appears to be plenty of speed engaged. Ash Grace has HALUSA (5) in the event who will be having his first start since July 2015. The Oratorio five year old returned with a cracked pelvis after his last start hence required time off the scene. The galloper showed plenty of ability up until then. THE CRUEL SEA (4) returned to form last start when ridden aggressively in the early stages. The grey defeated The Express by a nose with that form line looking strong going into this event. ARSENAL POWER (6) is racing well for trainer Gary Bowen. Expect him to be prominent from barrier two. HELLYER (1) needs the claim but can figure.

R4 RAW BTQ HANDICAP 1100m 2:40

The first leg of the Quaddie sees a field of eleven go over the short course. The Brett Mathews trained RIO FLYER (9) produced a good performance holding off the majority of the field last start when third behind My Greek Boy. The Oratorio mare has had the blinkers added for her assignment today. LONGSCHAMP (4) has been racing well without winning for trainer Gary Bowen. The five year old looked the winner at the furlong pole last start but was beaten by a handy type. Progressive type MINCE PIE (8) looks a solid chance albeit a wide draw. The filly finished close up last start at Northam and prior to that broke maiden status in impressive fashion locally. BAY PUBLISHER (2) was unlucky last start and can place today.

R5 RAILWAYS FOOTBALL CLUB HANDICAP 1400m 3:13

The open sprint on the card has a field of nine to go over the 1400m. The Peter Fernie trained PROHURST EXPRESS (5) looks hard to beat based on the five year old’s brilliant form of late. The son of Danehill Express has grown a leg since arriving in the Goldfields winning three from five at the track. The galloper’s rating fell away prior to coming to Kalgoorlie hence he is still well weighted. THE EXPRESS (9) has produced two good runs since being transferred to Rickie Brown. The five year old has a featherweight of 52kg. SMART AS A FOX (8) was impressive in the Northam Traders three weeks back. Look for the seven year old flashing late. RAFFERTY (1) loves the 1400m but will have carry 59kg.

R6 CITY BUILDING SUPPLIES HANDICAP 1400m 3:43

A handy bunch of gallopers will take to the track in the sixth. Top weight THIDWICK THE MOOSE (1) ground away solidly to the line last start at Northam. The drop back in distance looks more suitable combined with the good draw and the services of Glenn Smith. The Fernie trained galloper has won two from six over the 1400m locally. ATTAMOR (5) was forced to cover additional ground last start when jumping from the outside. The Dave Smith trained galloper has won two from seven at the KBRC including two minors. JOYFUL HOPE (6) has had no luck in her past couple of runs. The Discorsi mare built a solid record in 2015 and has the ability to figure. Ryan Hill should position the mare just behind the speed jumping from barrier five. ROADSINGER (4) has been racing well this time in winning two from five attempts at the track this season. The Bermingham trained galloper has drawn well and will appreciate Sarah Bonner’s claim.

SELECTIONS: 1-5-6-4

The last on the card has a big field to be released from the 1760m. CINCINNATI BOY (3) looks an each way hope in the event with a considerable drop in class. The Discorsi gelding sat outside the leader last start and plugged to the line after working throughout. Expect Brad Parnham to ride him colder today. George Grljusich has had plenty of success in recent weeks and will be hoping DANERIP’S GIRL (6) can make it back to back victories after winning in maiden company last start. The Alfred Nobel filly won convincingly last start when jetting away for a clear victory over the mile. YALOGINDA (2) can place at odds in the event. The Trade Fair mare is somewhat of a non-winner but gets her opportunity today with the good alley and the services of Glenn Smith.
