The second on the card is over the 1300m where a field of eleven will take to the track. The Peter Fernie trained RIDE SALLY RIDE (6) looks a solid each way chance based on the mare’s gate. The four year old was allowed to roll early on last start and went down a length. Glenn Smith will ride her today for her thirteenth start. ALL ADRIFT (3) produced an encouraging performance last start when going down a long head. The Discorsi gelding was coming off a five week freshen up. The Dave Smith trained MAMA BEAR (7) was forced to work last start. The daughter of Big Brown looks a progressive type. IT’S NOT TRADING (1) looks a chance coming off a solid performance at Northam.

The third maiden on the card has a field of ten engaged. War Chant filly UNWANTED LASS (10) will have her third career start at the track today coming off a solid performance when finishing second last start. The three year old has drawn ideally and you can expect further improvement today. The Parnham trained SNITZALONG (1) will enjoy a drop in class today. The three year old was bred to be engaged in stronger company than this event. BRITELLA (7) will have her tenth start at the KBRC today. The four year old will have to overcome the outside gate but has placed on six occasions previously. MARBLE KING (2) will find this easier compared to previous assignments.

R4 RAILWAY LODGE SPRINT 1100m 1:57

The feature sprint of the day has a compact field engaged where we see last year’s Goldfields Magic Millions Classic winner MR MOTOWN (2) line up. The Lindsey Smith trained four year old has had twenty three starts yielding five victories. The Oratorio gelding looks suited in the field of seven. CEE I AY (5) resumed for trainer Brett Mathews after setting the Bay of Isles alight earlier this year. The Fath four year old has won six from fifteen attempts. COMANCHE RED (1) should sit behind the speed from barrier three. The Neville Newton trained chestnut is well performed at the track but will carry 59kg today. Speedy type PRAGER (7) is lightly weighted in the event with the claim of in form apprentice Mollie Clark.

R5 2016 HAHN ELECTRICAL COOLGARDIE CUP 4 SEPT HANDICAP 1760m 2:34

The first leg of the Quaddie has a capacity field line up over the middle distance. Current leading horse of the year TAHGEO JAY (1) looks hard to beat coming off a sensational victory last start. The Vital Equine four year old blew his rivals away last start winning by four and a half lengths. SIR DANDY (4) saluted last start over the same distance as today’s event. The Brett Mathews trained galloper has drawn awkwardly which makes his assignment somewhat harder. M’LADY HALLOWELL (3) is another that has drawn wide but is thriving in the Goldfields. The Fernie trained mare will settle rearwards. JOSIE’S BABE (6) looks one to follow over the middle distances this preparation.

R6 MICK PAVLINOVICH HANDICAP 1200m 3:10

The sixth on the card looks a tough assignment for punters with many chances engaged. The Kyle Stammers trained I’M GUNNA (7) was impressive last start when winning in maiden company. The four year old is having just her fourth career start today. CLEVE’S WATCHING (2) is another stepping out of maiden company today. The former Harrison trained galloper looks one that will flourish racing in the Goldfields. BESANNROSE (6) resumed in great order last start after time away from the track. The Rickie Brown trained four year old proved too slick when leading throughout. STUB’N’COW (1) joins the ever growing Fernie stable and looks a chance after winning last start.

R7 COOLGARDIE DAY 2016 1200m 3:50

A handy field of gallopers will take to the track in the seventh over the 1200m. The Fernie trained FAT AMY (5) hasn’t lived up to expectations this preparation however placed behind a handy type last start. The Due Sasso mare is chasing her first victory this year. HELLYER (1) will carry top weight but has shown promise in similar company this time in. The Bermingham trained galloper has won four from nine at the track over the 1200m. LONHMACC (4) is having his second start at the track today after finishing close up last start behind the well performed Master Winks. The Fernie acquisition has won a respectable three from seven over the 1200m and based on that should be kept safe. GRAND REWARD (7) overcame his rivals last start in weaker company when having his first start for George Grljusich.

R8 BOULDER PARTS & TOWING HANDICAP 1400m 4:30

The last on the eight race card is over the 1400m where a capacity field will line up. The Merv Dellar trained A BIT SKETCHY (7) was superb last start when producing an envious turn of foot overcoming her rivals. The Excellent Art mare has built up a solid record at the track and there is no reason why it can’t continue. YEAH YEAH YEAH (2) struggled to obtain clear running last start in the run home. Glenn Smith reunited with the Oratorio gelding today with whom he has a brilliant record aboard. OMERTA (5) was solid last start when overcoming a wide gate. The chestnut went down half a length behind Grand Reward. ESPRIT HERO (1) battled to the line last start in an open affair. The four year old will step up to the 1400m today which looks suitable based on his last run.
