R1 ST JOHN AMBULANCE GOLDFIELDS MAIDEN 1:12 1300m

The first on the St John Ambulance Race Day has a capacity field to battle it out over the 1300m. The Brown trained RHINO BUSTER (1) was unlucky last start when forced to carry additional ground throughout. The Danehill Express three year old’s effort was big considering the torrid run he had. Matthieu Autier will be aboard the galloper today and will have to work some magic to overcome the outside gate. THE DELORAN (4) handed in a better performance last start when sitting on speed. Clint Johnston-Porter will be aboard the three year old who has drawn the inside for his assignment. Expect the bay to settle near the speed and fight on to the line. Dean Nazzari has DON’T SPEED (10) engaged in the event. The Demerit filly hit the line in a determined fashion last start when finishing third behind Prayer In Cee. If Randy Tan can keep in touch with the leading division the filly can figure. UNWANTED LASS (8) fought on strong last start to finish second behind Britella. Glenn Smith has an awkward gate meaning she may settle further back today.
