Tatts Cup Sponsorship by the Gurkha

The Goldfields Tattersall’s Club has announced a substantial prize money increase for this year’s renewal of the famous Tatts Cup.
In association with new sponsor Raglan Drilling and with support from the KBRC this year’s GTC-Raglan Drilling Tattersall’s Cup will carry $40,000 in prize money.
GTC President Doug Milne announced the increase of prize money from $14,875 last year and welcomed the help of new sponsor Raglan Drilling “Our strategy has been to lift the prize money of the Tattersall’s Cup to attract better horses and bigger fields for this important race.”
Milne said in a Media Release
“Again the winner of the Tatts Cup is exempt from ballot of the XXXX Gold Kalgoorlie Cup and Boulder Cup, making it an important lead up to the region’s most important horse race.”
“To have Hugo Lacey from Raglan Drilling become involved as first time sponsors is also very encouraging for the development of our sport here on the Goldfields.”
“And the continual support of the KBRC is much appreciated in making this increase possible.”
The $40,000 Raglan Drilling-GTC Tatt’s Cup (2300 metres) will be contested on Sunday August 19 and preceded by the famous Tattersall’s Club Calcutta held at the Egan Street premises of the Tattersall’s Club on Saturday August 18.
